The early strike by ATK in the first half lowered the winning chances of Chennaiyin FC by 50 per cent and that later on affected their scoring capabilities.
Just like last year’s IPL, when Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were fighting to be the first Fourth time Champion of their respective league, this year these two FC’s were fighting to be the first three time Champions of the ISL. ATK had won the title previously in 2014 & 2016 and the Chennaiyin FC in 2015 & 2018.
Now ATK is the Champions of the 6th season of the Hero Indian Super League and holds the record for most Championship victories (3).
