Asian Hockey Federation set to conduct online workshop for Hockey India coaches & technical members

Asian Hockey Federation has accepted the appeal of Hockey India, for organising an online workshop for coaches and technical teams after successful completion of online workshop in several Asian countries in June. The worship is set to begin from July 19.

President of Hockey India Mohd. Mushtaque Ahmad said, “I am sure the workshops will be a huge boost for our coaches and technical officials, who have a great opportunity to attain knowledge about the key aspects of their respective fields from the comforts of their home.”

“After the successful completion of AHF online education workshops for various Asian countries in June, Hockey India’s request to AHF for the conduct of the same workshops exclusively for HI coaches and technical officials has been accepted,” a release from Hockey India said.

In the past month Hockey India nominated six candidates for the online education organised by Asian Hockey Federation, while in the upcoming workshops more than 25 coaches and 15 technical members.

The online workshop will be focused on providing expertise knowledge about different aspects of the game thereby increasing the potential of the supporting members. Coaches and trainers are the backbone of any team, managing different situation, management of players, providing correct training method all these information will be imparted during the workshop.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, all the major events are on halt. Players are spending quality time with their loved ones and also doing some home practice to gear up for the upcoming challenge. The women’s team were in Sports Authority Of India campus in Bengaluru since February while the men’s team are in Bengaluru since March. The players will begin their full fledged practice from July 19 as a part of preparation for upcoming Tokyo Olympics.
