As IPL 2020 is set to kick off today, here are things to look for this season


IPL, (Indian Premiere League) the most celebrated and decorated cricket tournament in the world. Players from all corners of the globe wait for this moment, where they can showcase their skill and ability, and entertain the sports lover. IPL is truly a gift to the world by the sports loving nation India.

IPL is a hope for young players not only of India but also the rest of the world. Since it’s origin in 2008, it has made many players, while shattered the dreams of few. The confidence and the believe that the current Indian team possess is a gift of the IPL. Cricketers are free to express themselves and enjoy their game which inorder brings the best out of them.

This is surely one of the biggest attraction of this year’s IPL. Mahendra Singh Dhoni after retiring from International Cricket will mark his return on the field again after 436 days. This is surely a historic day, the contribution of Mahendra Singh Dhoni towards World Cricket can’t be expressed through words. For all Dhoni fans, it’s a matter of pride and satisfaction that they will see their Thala back on field hitting those humongous sixes and finishing the game in his own style.

However there are few concerns that the CSK captain needs to solve soon. However when Mahi is there, why to worry!. Will CSK be able the lift the trophy for the fourth time ?

How to compensate the void of fans i and loud cheers in the stadium ?


The most disturbing factor of this year’s IPL is absence of fans and loud cheers in the stadium. Where IPL stands today is just because of its fans, without fans there will be certainly a missing element in the tournament. But it would be interesting to see, how well the players adopt to playing in these condition specially the Indian players. The fans bring a complete new flavour and a positive energy into the stadium. With every shot, the loud cheers helps player to gain their confidence. The energy on the field and pro activeness among the players is because of the fans.

This can be a change of fortune for them. When the youngsters will step up on big occasion and make their team win, that’s when they will be able to knock the door of Indian Team.

With 3 World Cups in the next 3 years, selectors and the captain will be eyeing on young players and would like to invest on them. If the players are able to grab the opportunity and maximize it, then there is no stopping for them.
