Apple Event that took place on 13th Oct, started with HomePod Mini. Later on, event witnessed the launch of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini. Further, Apple revealed iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max. As always Apple brings new successor to the earlier ones, this time they have also done the same. Successor of A13 Bionic came as A14 Bionic chip and it is manufactured on 5 nm technology which is quite amazing. And rest of the things are not a major upgrade to their predecessors except the 5G capability that comes in all the iPhone 12 series smartphone.

HomePod Mini comes in two color variants: White and Space Grey. It is 84.3 mm higher and 97.9 mm wide. It weighs 345 grams only. It has custom acoustic waveguide for a 360º sound field, computational audio for real-time tuning, four-microphone design for far-field Siri, stereo pair capability.

Apple has mentioned some audio sources for HomePod Mini, they are Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Apple Music Radio or episodes on demand, News briefings, iTunes music purchases, iCloud Music Library with an Apple Music or iTunes Match subscription. It can AirPlay other content from iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV or Mac.

The most amazing thing about this HomePod Mini is it’s Intercom transcriptions feature. If someone has multiple HomePod in the house, they can easily communicate with others’ by transferring their message to the HomePod using Intercom. Later on, that message will be transferred to other HomePod so that the person who is near other HomePod can get the message. Users will have to ask Siri to transfer their message to all HomePod at once or any particular HomePod. It works with the smart home as well as smart devices.

HomePod Mini is priced at ₹9,900 for Indian market and $99 for US market. Pre-order will begin on 6th November and sale will begin on 16th November at Apple Store Online.

What people were waiting for the longer time was the compact-sized smartphone with great performance but their is no need to wait longer, iPhone 12 Mini can be your choice as it has screen size of 5.4 inches(diagonally). iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini have most of the similar specifications. iPhone 12 has display size of 6.1 inches whereas iPhone 12 Mini has display size of 5.4 inches. iPhone 12 has resolution of 2532×1170 pixels whereas iPhone 12 Mini has resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. iPhone 12 has another difference in pixel density, it has 460 PPI and iPhone 12 Mini has pixel density of 476 PPI.

Both the devices have custom OLED Super Retina XDR display, contrast ratio of 20,00,000:1 and maximum brightness of 1200 nits. Apple 12 and Apple 12 Mini has IP68 rating, they can last for 30 minutes at maximum depth of 6 metres. As earlier mentioned, iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini has latest A14 Bionic chip that is manufactured on 5 nm technology.

Coming to the camera department, there is dual 12 MP rear camera for ultra-wide angle shots and wide-angle shots. Ultra-wide angle has aperture of f/2.4 and 120° FoV whereas another 12 MP wide-angle lens has f/1.6 aperture. Optical zoom is supported up to 2x and digital zoom up to 5x. These two smartphones supports HDR video recording with Dolby Vision at up to 30 fps, 4K video recording at 24 fps, 30 fps or 60 fps, 1080p video recording at 30 fps or 60 fps and 720p video recording at 30 fps.

iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini has video functionality of Optical image stabilisation for video (Wide), QuickTake video, Slow-motion video support for 1080p at 120 fps or 240 fps, Time-lapse video with stabilisation, Night mode Time‑lapse, Continuous autofocus video, Stereo recording.

There is a single 12 MP at front with f/2.2 aperture. Front camera allows Animoji and Memoji, Night mode, Deep Fusion, HDR video recording with Dolby Vision up to 30 fps, 4K video recording at 24 fps, 30 fps or 60 fps, 1080p HD video recording at 30 fps or 60 fps, Slow-motion video support for 1080p at 120 fps, Time-lapse video with stabilisation, Night mode Time‑lapse, QuickTake video, Wide colour capture for photos and Live Photos, Lens correction, Retina Flash, Auto image stabilisation, Burst mode.

Coming to the charging adapter, Apple won’t be providing their charging adapter in-box. But iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini supports MagSafe wireless charging up to 15W, Qi wireless charging up to 7.5W, charging via USB to computer system or power adapter. Apple will pack the smartphone, documentation and USB-C to Lightning Cable in their box.

iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini will be available in 5 color options: Black, White, Product Red, Green and Blue. Both the models will have 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB storage variant.

What make iPhone different from other smartphones, is their dimensions and weight. iPhone 12 Mini has height of 131.5 mm, width of 64.2 mm and thickness of 7.4 mm only. It weighs 133 grams only. In the launch event, Apple called iPhone 12 Mini as the smallest, thinnest, lightest 5G smartphone in the world. iPhone 12 costs ₹69,900, ₹74,900 and ₹84,900 for 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB storage variant respectively in India. For US market, 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB storage variant will cost $699, $749 and $849 respectively. Pre-order of iPhone 12 Mini will start from 6th November, 6:30 PM IST and sale will start from 13th November in India at Apple Store Online.

iPhone 12 has height of 146.7 mm, width of 71.5 mm and thickness of 7.4 mm. It has mass of 162 grams. iPhone 12 is priced at ₹79,900, ₹84,900 and ₹94,900 for 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB respectively but in USA, it will cost only $799, $849 and $949. Pre-order of iPhone 12 will start from 23rd October, 12:00 AM and sale will start from 30th October in India.

As iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini are similar, in same manner iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are similar in specifications. Rear camera features and display specifications have differences between iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

iPhone 12 Pro has 6.1 inches display with resolution of 2532×1170 pixels, density of 460 PPI. Whereas iPhone 12 Pro Max has 6.7 inches display with resolution of 2778×1284 pixels, density of 458 PPI. Both models(A2341 and A2342) have maximum brightness of 1200 nits, contrast ratio of 20,00,000:1 and has IP68 rating.

When jumps toward camera section, these two models have 12 MP triple rear camera for wide angle shots, ultra-wide angle shots and telephoto shots. Wide angle lens has f/1.6 aperture and ultra-wide angle lens has f/2.4 aperture. Telephoto lens has f/2.0 aperture in iPhone 12 Pro and f/2.0 aperture in iPhone 12 Pro Max.

iPhone 12 Pro supports 2x optical zoom in, 2x optical zoom out, 4x optical zoom range and digital zoom up to 10x whereas iPhone 12 Pro Max supports 2.5x optical zoom in, 2x optical zoom out, 5x optical zoom range and digital zoom up to 12x. These two model features Smart HDR 3 with Scene Detection, Apple ProRAW, Wide colour capture for photos and Live Photos, Photo geotagging, Burst mode.

Front camera is of 12 MP in iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max with f/2.2 aperture. For charging and charging adapter, it’s feature is similar to iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 12’s feature. It’s box will come up with an iPhone (iPhone 12 Pro/ iPhone 12 Pro Max), documentation and USB-C to Lightning cable.

Coming to the color options, these two models will be available in Silver, Graphite, Gold, Pacific Blue. For storage, there will be three variants: 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB.

When pricing and date of availability and pre-order is concerned, pre-order of iPhone 12 Pro will start from 23rd October, 12:00 AM and it will be available on open sale from 30th October. Pre-order of iPhone 12 Pro Max will start on 6th November, 6:30 PM and open sale will begin on 13th November in India.

Before purchasing device, one must focus on the dimensions and weight as because users carry their smartphones everywhere and they spent most of the time on it. Hence, they should be aware whether the device will be okay for their usage or not. So, here is the dimensions and weight of iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

iPhone 12 Pro has height of 146.7 mm, width of 71.5 mm and thickness of 7.4 mm. It measures 187 grams. iPhone 12 Pro Max has height of 160.8 mm, width of 78.1 mm and thickness of 7.4 mm. Even though iPhone 12 Pro Max is only 7.4 mm thicker, it weighs 226 grams. So, keep this in mind before purchasing it.

Now, coming to the pricing part. iPhone 12 pro costs ₹1,19,900, ₹1,29,900 and ₹1,49,900 for 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB storage respectively in India. Whereas, pricing of iPhone 12 Pro is kept at $999, $1099 and $1299 for 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB respectively in USA.

iPhone 12 Pro Max is priced at ₹1,29,900, ₹1,39,900 and ₹1,59,900 for 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB respectively in India. In USA, pricing of iPhone 12 Pro Max starts from $1099 for 128 GB storage and costs $1199 for 256 GB storage an $1399 for 512 storage.
