MIIT has caught one smartphone from Redmi, sub-brand of Xiaomi. This device is said to be the successor of Redmi 8, that is Redmi 9. MIIT listing reveals some specifications of this device. Alleged Redmi 9 appeared in MIIT listing with the model number of M2004J19C.
Specifications of alleged Redmi 9
It will enter the market with 6.53 inches display. Along with the large display, it will feature dedicated slot. Company has filed for the 4 GB, 6 GB RAM variant with 64 GB and 128 GB storage variant. 4 GB will be complement to 64 GB storage and 6 GB RAM will get paired with the 128 GB storage.
Other than specifications, some pictures of the device are shown. On pictures, water-drop notch can be seen in the front panel. Image also reveals the position of power button, volume rockers and SIM card slot. Power button and volume rockers are placed on right side of phone wheres hole of SIM card slot can seen of left side of phone.
Back side of the panel surprises us with quad rear camera. Redmi had given dual rear camera on Redmi 8 whereas the alleged Redmi 9 can seen with quad rear cameras. There are two camera modules at back, one module contains triple lens and fingerprint scanner. Whereas second module contains one lens with a single LED flash.
MIIT listing also confirms about the battery size and dimensions of phone. Redmi 9 has 4920 mAh (~5000 mAh) and it’s dimensions are 163.32 mm × 77.01 mm × 9.10 mm.
This device has been listed in Tenaa as well but still specs are not out. More specifications will be released soon for M2004J19C.
