Aakash Chopra in his recent video revealed how he was a victim of racial comments by two South African players during county Cricket in England.
After the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis there has been a huge turnaround of things and people perception and way of looking towards Black people. The social media is buzzing with support for Blacks and standing united. The Cricket fraternity is not far behind after Chris Gayle and Darren Sammy now Aakash Chopra has claimed to be a victim of racist comments.

Aakash Chopra said, “Racism is very much vibrant in Cricket. I am a victim of Racism. While playing County in England, 2 South African players were after my life. They were continously blabbering something, they called me “Paaki” which is generally referred to brown skin guys” Paaki is referred to people in the Subcontinent India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and is considered as less superior than the whites.

Aakash Chopra went on to support Darren Sammy who recently claimed that, he faced racist comments during IPL in his team Suneisers Hyderabad. The cricketer turned commentator said, ” If this has happened then strict investigation must take place no matter what the intention was”. Daren Sammy revealed he was being called “Kaalu” by his IPL franchise Suneisers Hyderabad.
In Cricket, strict laws and clauses have been made to avoid such things, but sadly still it is prevalent today. People with different skin colour are looked down and regarded as not so superior.
