13 CSK (Chennai Super Kings) members, including 2 players who were earlier tested positive for Covid-19, have now been tested negative.
This is certainly a very good news for all CSK as well as IPL fans. Since the news broke out about CSK players being tested positive, there were all negativity surrounding the franchise as well as the players.
However the players will go another round of testing before returning back to the field for training. Kasi Viswanathan said to Cricbuzz, “The first test came negative, there is one more test,” The second round of testing will be conducted on September 3 and if everything goes well there is no looking back.
The team landed in Dubai on August 21. Before heading, the franchise organised a 5 day camp at Chennai. The team was supposed to be training from August 28, but as soon as the bad news broke out, it shook the entire cricket world.
The team was forced to delay their preparations. The 13 member who were tested positive have been isolated at a different hotel. Another controversy that surfaced during this time is a rift between N. Srinivasan and Suresh Raina.
Suresh Raina made himself unavailable for this IPL season and came back to India for some personal reasons. The cricketer recently took to his twitter, to seek justice for his family, who were brutally attacked in Pathankot.
However there are some big questions that the BCCI and IPL Governing Council needs to answer soon. The IPL is set to begin from September 19, still the schedule has not been released. The fans are now just hoping to see their favourite cricketers playing good cricket after such a long time.
